We’re all on Ukraine’s side, that’s for sure. When I heard about them receiving crypto-donations to aid their situation, I knew I wanted to help, but how? The day I created this piece, I was at a birthday party for my kids. They were all laughing, playing, having the best time… and amidst a pandemic, it’s a relief that we’ve finally come to some sort of normalcy. At the same time, here I am following events unfold in Ukraine over twitter, and I couldn’t help but find myself a quiet corner and cry over a video of a father leaving his daughter to head to the front line. As my kids are oblivious to all that is unravelling in Europe, I hope to the Greater Being that it will never come to that point where we’d have to fight for our own respective countries… but if it does, it is without doubt that I will, and my husband would.
This piece is dedicated and created for all the children in Ukraine, in hopes that their parents and families, teachers and grandparents, can return to them safely. This is now available on opensea.io to mint, and ALL proceeds will go to Ukraine’s cause by way of crypto-donations.
